Welcome to the island city! Alameda is a small city with a population of about 75,000 located on an island in the San Francisco bay. Nearby Oakland and San Francisco offer endless opportunities for recreation and entertainment, but Alameda has its own attractions to keep residents busy.

Alameda’s beaches and location on the bay attract wind and kite surfers as well as swimmers and sunbathers. Beautiful views of the San Francisco skyline can be seen from Crown Memorial State Beach and the Oakland Bay Bridge. Victorian houses are a common site and something about the air lends a small town feel.
